Overview
Course Title:
STCW II/2 Master Unlimited (MCA Oral Examination)
Duration-5 Weeks.
Course Starting Date:
January, May, October.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have completed 36 months of watch-keeping service while holding an OOW unlimited II/1 Certificate of Competency. This period may be reduced to 24 months if at least 12 months of such seagoing service has been served as Chief Mate while holding a Chief Mate unlimited II/2 Certificate of Competency.
Subjects Covered:
- In approx 75 hours, the topics as per MCA MIN for the Master’s Unlimited Syllabus are covered.
- This course acquaints you with orals questions and the latest question pattern keeping in view the latest syllabus.
- This course can be attended remotely via Microsoft Teams.

- Continuous Discharge Certificate (OLD CDC) (Original Scan Copy) Continuous Discharge Certificate (NEW CDC) (Original Scan Copy) GMDSS Certificates.

- Sea Service Testimonials.
- NOE Copy (Expired NOE needs to be re-applied).

- Application Form for Orals.
- Passport Copy.
- Certificate of Competency (COC).
- Continuous Discharge Certificate (OLD CDC) (Original Scan Copy) Continuous Discharge Certificate (NEW CDC) (Original Scan Copy) GMDSS Certificates.
- NARAS Certificate.
- Sea Service Testimonials.
- NOE Copy (Expired NOE needs to be re-applied).
Entry Requirements
The MCA regulations require a candidate.
- Hold a valid Chief Mate unlimited, II/2, Certificate of Competency
- Have completed 36 months watch keeping service while holding OOW unlimited II/1, Certificate of Competency. This period may be reduced to 24 months if at least 12 months of such seagoing service has been served as Chief Mate while holding a Chief Mate unlimited II/2 Certificate of Competency.
- Discharge book entries verifying sea service.
- Watch-keeping certificates to support all watch-keeping sea service.
- A candidate who does not have a discharge book will need to obtain documentation from their shipping company verifying their sea service. It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure that all entry requirements for the course and the issue of a Notice of Eligibility (NoE) by the MCA are met prior to attending the course.
